How Cedar Shingles Turn a Modern Cabin Into a Timeless Hideaway
The Sandpiper Cabin by Scott Posno Design is the kind of retreat I’d love to have one day. Its thoughtful design and cedar shingle exterior give it a natural, timeless character that blends beautifully with the forest.

The home is composed of two simple volumes joined at the center, creating a clear yet private layout. Large vertical windows frame the surrounding trees, while a partially covered deck extends living space into the woodland. Natural materials and a restrained palette continue the dialogue with nature, making the cabin feel both contemporary and rooted in place.
