JOHN BERTSCH

Home means something profound to me. They’re not just walls and a roof (although those help!). Rather, they’re repositories of memories and emotions. The places where we should feel the safest, and most able to be “ourselves.” I understand and respect the meaning of home. Buying or selling isn’t just a transaction, but a process and a journey. The greatest compliment I’ve ever received as an agent is that my clients felt that they had a guide and true companion with them on their journey.

I never ever forget that I’m here to serve your interests and needs. Performing at my very best for you is what brings me the greatest pleasure and deepest pride.

I’ve been a familiar face in San Diego for 30+ years. I’ve made my home in several of San Diego’s historic neighborhoods, and take pride in my knowledge of local architecture and history. I’m also the developer who built two stunning homes in Mission Hills, as well as the sleek Cairo condominiums in Hillcrest. I’ve transformed tired and dated homes into noteworthy places while still fitting with neighborhood character.

I also attracted national attention as the owner and “star personality” for 10 years at Meshuggah Shack, the quirky, bright green coffee bar in Mission Hills.
